Prescriptions

Please allow 48 working hours for a repeat prescription to be produced.

Repeat prescriptions are done daily and will be processed within 72 hours providing they are left before 11:00am. If you are given a prescription by the hospital, please have this dispensed at the hospital as we cannot repeat any of the medication until we have a letter from the hospital detailing the new medication.

To avoid mistakes we do not take prescription requests over the telephone.

If you cannot call at the surgery please post your request. Alternatively, you can request the medication through system one online and collect from the surgery (again please allow 72 hours for processing).

Patients can also nominate a chemist to receive their prescription via EPS, this enables the surgery to send it electronically. The patient does not then need to collect the prescription.
